All rumors end here! Apple has finally unveiled and announced the iPhone 4S. Yes, guys its not the iPhone 5 as many have thought it to be. Going by the looks, there is no change at all although the iPhone 4S has the new A5 dual-core processor designed by Apple themselves, which was also used in the iPad 2, which will give 7 times better graphics using the PowerVR SGX543MP2 when compared to the iPhone 4. Aside from processor, the camera is now bumped to 8 megapixel capturing 73% more light to its Backside illuminated sensor (BIS) and allowing to record Full HD 1080p video @30fps. The download speeds have been upgraded as well, it now supports 14.4Mbps HSDPA and most importantly, the iPhone 4S is a world phone supporting all the bands of both GSM and CDMA networks. Its stand out feature although is a Voice Assistance Technology called ‘Siri’ that will interact with the user like a human, more on that in a separate post later. Voice detection, a separate feature will help you input text through voice recognition is also present using a new mic key situated beside spacebar in the onscreen keyboard. The phone will be available in both Black and White colors while the storage will now come in 16GB, 32GB and 64GB capacities. It will be released in stores starting 14th October in 7 countries and in 22 more countries on 22nd October for $199 on a 2-year contract. It will be finally released on Sprint network too, in the US. No plans for an India release yet, as always!
